The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced in its monthly short-term energy outlook report that it expects a decrease in global oil and fuel demand growth through 2026 due to recent changes in global trade policy and oil production.

The statistical division of the U.S. Department of Energy has adjusted its annual U.S. and global oil demand growth projections for both this year and the next. The agency emphasized that there is a significant amount of uncertainty in the markets due to possible lower global economic growth and an increase in oil supply.
